WB Engineering specializes in product design and development for a variety of industries, in order to fabricate our designs it requires almost an endless set of tools and skills. In order to be as efficient as possible while offering our client base the best final product possible, we utilize the specialist in each one of these trades in order to provide our customers with a one-stop shop for product development and fabrication. This allows us to focus on what we do best which is product development, while our partners focus on what they do best, fabricate top-notch parts. Vacuum casting is used for materials that cannot be cut from or carved out of an original block of material. For example urethanes, rubbers… After making an initial pattern, a silicone based mold is made based on the pattern. This allows the desired material to be cast (poured into pattern cavity and hardened). This method allows for the prototyping of clear plastics and rubber parts. Normally, a vacuum casted mold is good for approximately 10-15 pieces. Vacuum casting was appropriate is leveraged to create multiple parts while reducing costs.
Additionally, WB Engineering can help facilitate a secondary process like Electroplating and Anodizing.
